Its been lower this year....back in March/April, but this is the lowest short interest has been for the past 6 months, going back to July 31st.  

On the bullish side of the coin it is nice to see the number dropping...it could suggest that those behind the short selling don't see much more downside for the PPS and hence they're locking in their profits and covering off.

On the bearish side of things with short interest down around 400K now, I see at least the potential for this to be a "reload".  After locking in profits bears imo now have about 600K worth of room to borrow shares and dump them back again.
