I'm sure Bear will give his insight into this, but I have never known a case in which a presentation of a new clinical trial was just a repeat of one that had already been given at another meeting. As you say, why would anyone be interested? The AHA results are now old news.

And how could this be possible at the NFK meeting, if they have an embargo? An embargo forbids any public disclosure, written or oral, including prior congresses.

I am sure the organisers must have seen an abstract with an indication of what's going to be presented - not necessarily all the details but enough to justify a place on the program.

So I think there has to be something new, but exactly what is something of a mystery.
