Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Thank you for your comments.

We did in fact receive your earlier email and respond in a timely fashion.

I've had the opportunity to review the violation tool for the edig discussion forum and there has been 1 post in total deleted in the past 7 days, out of several hundred posts.

The post that was deleted earlier today was deleted for both profanity and due do its insutling nature.  As such, this demonstrates that in fact our system is working as it should.

Those have been appointed as HUB Leaders have demonstrated that they are using their administrative abilities as they should. 

This edig discussion forum couldn't be further from "crisis" as you state.  In fact, it is clearly the best discussion forum on the web for serious and civilized discourse on edig.

PS.  Posting in ALL CAPS is a violation of our Terms of Service.
