There are a whole hellova lot of airlines out there that DON`T want embedded. Think about just one....American....Their fleet consists primarily of 30 year old, single isle, Super 80`s. American has an order in for a huge quantity of 737`s, I think around 600, not sure of the figure could be less, which is on hold at this point.

Why would American want to pay the expense and have the cost of airplanes being down to embed an IFE system in those aircraft when most likely they will all be gone in five years or less..

American is NOT the only airline with the same problems...However, handhelds are a different story...
