They can then rewrite the claims and submit them before the deadline. The examiner has discovered 2 voice recorders that use flash memory that were published about a year before the patent was made. This is called prior art. E.Digital has to file a report describing how the interview went, so we should get a feel for how things are progressing shortly after the interview. The examiners response to E.Digitals response could be many months away.
