Handal & Associates Presses Its Case Against Additional Infringers

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 8, 2013) - Handal & Associates announced today that it has filed new patent infringement lawsuits on behalf of its client, e.Digital Corporation (OTCQB: EDIG).

Handal & Associates has filed a total of 15 lawsuits against parties believed to infringe patents covering the use of flash memory technologies, which are a part of e.Digital's Flash-R™ patent portfolio. The cases have all been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and include two recently filed suits against Pantech Wireless, Inc. aka Pantech North America, Pantech Co. Ltd., AT&T, Inc., Verizon Communications, Inc., United States Cellular Corporation, MiTAC Digital Corporation, and MiTAC International Corp.

The suit against MiTAC together with several of its distributors and resellers is aimed at the flash-based Magellan line of GPS products, which include the Magellan eXplorist, Magellan Triton, Navman MY 60T/65T/75T series, Navman MiVue 338/358 series, Navman MY Escape series, Navman MY 80T/85XLT/90XLT and Navman EZY 15/45 series GPS navigation products and video recorders.

The suit against Pantech, AT&T, Verizon and United States Cellular focuses on telephone handsets and tablets that utilize insertable flash memory cards. The accused products include Pantech's Verse, Flex P8010, Marauder ADR910LVW, Renue P6030, Swift P6020, Burst P9070, Pocket P9060, Link 2 P5000, Breakout ADR8995, Pursuit 2 P6010, Breeze 3 P2030, Crossover P8000, Laser P9050, Ease P2020, Pursuit P9020, Breeze 2 P2000, Impact P7000, Link P7040, Reveal C790, Crux CDM8999, Caper TXT 8035PP, CDM8635, Jest TXT8040, Jest 2 TXT8045, Hotshot mobile phones and Element P4100 tablet.
