It seems going after Nest/Google for patent infringement might have been the Icarus moment and fatal decision for E.Digital.  The hubris of the Davaid and Goliath syndrome.   Wasnt it shortly after the cancellation of the IPR that the company announced it would not file any more infringement cases?

Will we ever know what transpired between the opposing parties?

Who ever decided to take on the Giant is probably thinking Ooops now.

If they had continued to litigate with the smaller companies, there might have been more chapters in the story of E.Digital, and not the Chapter 7 kind.

Alas, we may never know.
