AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Have a great Sunday, especially those of you like me that are celebrating Orthodox Easter ... As well as those of you who are also like me and mourning another Maple Leafs Game 7 exit ... Ugggh!

Sincerely,

Message: Stalker 2 review

Stalker 2 is a follow up of the popular first game 'Stalker'. It is a high octane, intense action-adventure with randomly generated levels. Actors portray terrorists from Hollywood. Game industry veterans, Robert Yang and Evan Williams provide the voiceovers for the characters. The game presents gamers with a never-ending chase scene from the first game and incorporates the third installment of the 'Resident Evil' series. Actors take the roles of different terrorists and acquire different characteristics and powers to fight the invaders. The game is set in an almost real-life base, which throws up many eerie details. For instance, one level has an Umbrella Corp research laboratory where Alice is being kept as a guinea pig. The facility is infested with zombies. Many other zombies also appear in the game.

The story revolves around a group of special operations personnel (JSDF or Joint Strike Group) sent to the small African country of East Africa to investigate a series of attacks by terrorists. One of the members of the team, a British Army Major, struggles with personal feelings of detachment from his military service and civilian life. He is given command of a recon unit, called Blue Light, to go on a daring rescue mission. As part of the team, he formulates a plan to infiltrate and seize terrorists' compound. During the operation, the whole team is killed except for one soldier called Artyom, who is assigned to continue their mission and save the remaining survivors.

The storyline in this stalker game has evolved and now presents gamers with a new mission to accomplish; eliminate all remaining survivors and take down the terrorist leader, before time runs out. For that purpose, gamers are required to utilize gadgets and vehicles available in the game. One of these is the stalker vehicle, a tank-like, mobile assault unit capable of crushing tanks and other buildings used by the terrorists. Playing as a member of the military, players can drive and operate such vehicles through several stages of the game.

However, what makes Stalker 2 stand out from its predecessors is that it incorporates some novel twists. For example, one of the terrorists has been given a new personality and a new identity. Using this opportunity to explore and develop the character, the storyline gets more twists and turns as a result. This helps in building up the game's emotional drama; one that helps make the player feel for the main character and care about his struggle throughout the game. In addition, the game makes use of realistic weapons and armaments which help to make the battle even more exciting.

Overall, the game is an exciting blend of adventure, horror and military action. The game contains intense visuals coupled with well thought out and thought provoking puzzles and action sequences. The game is a definite must-play game for anyone looking for a unique gaming experience. If you are still not convinced, then try Stalker 2 and see for yourself what makes it one of the best games available on the market.
