Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Wi-LAN, Inc. reports financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.

We analyze the earnings along side the following peers of Wi-LAN, Inc. – Sierra Wireless Inc., BlackBerry Limited and Dragonwave Inc. (SW-CA, BB-CA and DRWI-US) that have also reported for this period.

Highlights

  • Summary numbers: Revenues of CAD 20.58 million, Net Earnings of CAD -4.06 million.
  • Gross margins narrowed from 62.57% to 1.93% compared to the same period last year, operating (EBITDA) margins now 47.73% from 80.95%.
  • Year-on-year change in operating cash flow of 16.65% is about the same as the change in earnings, likely no significant movement in accruals or reserves.
  • Narrowing of operating margins contributed to decline in earnings.
