Developing large acreage positions of unconventional and conventional oil and gas resources
The reports on the proposed site for SKA appear to indicate that the main part of the SKA will be northwest of the town of Carnarvon - where South Africa has already built 7 of the radio telescope dishes.
In studying an overlay map of Falcon's Karoo Application area with a map showing the town of Carnarvon, it appears that Carnarvon, and the SKA are not even close to the Falcon territory, but are in the upper part of Shell's Application area.
If this is the case, then the 30 to 50 kilometre buffer zone will not have any impact on Falcon's drilling activities in the future.
