This situation in Egypt could get totally out of hand!

A few potentials occur to me.

Will the situation in Egypt spread to other nations in the Arab world? If so, how far?

The reports are that there are professional revolutionary elements potentially from outside of Egypt that are functioning as agitators.

Is the situation being fostered by any other powers in the region? If so, which nation might be filling such a role? Iran? Syria? And if this is an effort by any nation outside of Egypt, will it be contained to only Egypt?

Or considering the recent unrest in Tunisia, is this a more pan Arab situation designed to spread the influence and thereby control of any other nation or group of Arab nations. Translated, is this designed by other Arab interests to spread their control over the Middle East and gain control of Middle Eastern oil resources?

It may be that this is simply a demonstration against the presiding rule in Egypt. But it could be also part of a much more threatening movement aimed at grabbing power and influence by some nations over other nations and potentially over the Middle East in totality. Of course, any nation or group of nations gaining control over significant portions of the Middle East would likely gain control of the massive oil and gas resources of the region also. And thereby, threaten the worlds supply of available energy!
