Agreed that foreign oil money will not be returning here.  That fossil fuel capital ship has sailed and is not coming back, ever, imo. 

Copper is the scarcer and indispensible resource of the future though.  Gold is getting pretty popular too. Schaft Creek is environmentally very benign (low acid rock, no fish) and is supported by local indigenous communities.

If Schaft Creek can't get approved, well then, God help us all in this country. 
Maybe it is time to talk about West separation.
