Cappysmart, Ferro-chrome is +- US $2 to $2.30 per kilo (presently) and you are correct in that 30% grade chromite contains 30% chrome metal, and probably reduces to something like 1/2 original weight as ferro-chrome. By those figures the ROF chromite is worth more than my back-of-a-napkin arithmetic showed (ie around 50% more. Oops). Price fluctuations over time will throw such figures wildly askew in any case, and accuracy is unlikely. Some idea of the $ potential is useful, however. Remember also how much drilling has yet to be done, both to delineate known deposits, especially at depth, and to find new ore deposits. Moe's figures are certain to have a more factually informed basis than mine.
