Pope & Co.'s report, "A New Technology for a New Chromite District: The New King of the Ring?" lays down the reasons why the Ring of Fire success hinges on a new gas-fired production method for chromite, a slurry pipeline bringing the ore south to a gas reduction reactor in Nakina and a second parallel pipeline bringing natural gas north to two gas-fired electrical generating stations.

The P3 Canada Fund was created to improve the delivery of public infrastructure and provide better value, timeliness and accountability by increasing the effective use of P3 / AFP. The P3 Canada Fund is the first infrastructure funding program, anywhere in Canada, which directly targets P3 and AFP projects.
