Why do we want a buyout, or even a buyin?

Each day, as I look over the posts on the forum, I notice a good portion of the posts deal with the (hopeful) possibility of a major doing a partial or total buyout of NOT, or a combination of NOT and other ROF players.

If a buyout offer was to come tomorrow from a major, it may be for as much as $5.00/share, or maybe even as high as $6-7. Wow.

We now have probably $40-50mill in the bank, with some very promising nickel prospects to drill, as well as a 43-101 in the works on the chrome, and a very attractive vanadium prospect in the works.

If we spend even half of the money that we have in the bank over the next 12 months we are almost assured that what we will have then will greatly exceed what we have now. Why not forget about buyouts/buyins for the moment and concentrate on drilling the hell out of all of these prospects, triple or quadruple what we have to offer, and then exhibit a willingness to sit down and talk to whomever fits our criteria as prospective partners?

The other prospect is to hopefully get a $5.-6. buyout offer now, reinvest it in someone else who is drilling for gold in Bolivia or Khazakastan or somewhere, and watch it disappear.

Regards

K
