How can Moonias, or any other native, be against a bridge over the Attawapiskat or an all year road into the region ( among other infrastructures). They can't because these things would make their life easier.

They say such words because they hope that by doing so they will strenghten their bargaining position.
They invent arguments and justification in order to trade them for more of the 'things' that they really want. I suspect some of those things are expected to be gained for next to nothing if the bartering goes their way.

They know that politicians tend to appease by giving away a part of the public purse, so why not try to make the most of it.
That is what I do not like about this posturing by the natives and caving in by the politicians. It could cost us dearly.
