AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

I guess if you want to stop the competitive pressure this new "proposed" stainless plant would entail...you'd have to lock up .."stable supply of major steelmaking raw materials, such as iron ore, nickel ore, and coal. "

funny how (chrome is not mentioned since you can't make stainless without it). Wouldn't you need a stable supply of chrome....too?

this article came out in may of this year.

China's Tsingshan Holding Group plans to build stainless steel plant in Africa

Tsingshan Holding Group, the largest stainless steel producer in China, planned to invest a stainless steel plant in Zimbabwe. The new plant will have an annual production capacity of 1 million tons, and the total investment was expected to reach US$10 billion.

It was said that the plant will start the construction in phases if it could ensure a stable supply of major steelmaking raw materials, such as iron ore, nickel ore, and coal.

The investment was highly forecasted to bring a great amount of competitive pressure to the stainless steel rolling mills from other countries.
