Message: Anyone want to help the next generation of geologists?

I only wish that I was 25 at this time as I would enroll immediately.I have always had a fascination with gold panning, prospecting etc. since I read "the Guide to Gold Panning in British Columbia" and realized the incredible numbers of prospectors that tramped on trails basically under where I was camping.I'm convinced that if I had a previous life I was right there in the Tulameen panning placer platinum, digging in the rich gravels of the Cariboo or humping packs over Chilcoot Pass.Had it not been for the gold rushes in the mid to late 1800s BC would still be nothing more than an unexplored forest.Alas,I'm more than twice that age and my career in emergency services is winding down however, they say that you're never too old to learn.
