Eric started his career as a mobile software engineer at Huawei before becoming a founding member of the Musical.ly startup team as an engineering team lead, helping grow from 0 to 10 million daily active users.

Post the acquisition of Musical.ly by Bytedance, Eric was a leader across Douyin and Tiktok research and
development teams, to promote user growth in all major markets.

Eric is responsible for growth strategy at OOOOO and oversight of the China team.

Sam Jones

Cofounder / CEO

Sam is a serial entrepreneur. He started his career at Accenture as a technology consultant in 1999, before a career in executive search where he ran a leading firm specializing in Investment Banking.

He spent 10 years in Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Sam started 3 technology companies over the course of 5 years from 2012 to 2017 that all related to data.

Sam joined eCommerce unicorn Wish as Managing Director, Marketing in 2017.

Sam founded Video Commerce Group in 2020 with Eric Zhang.

Steven Hubbard

Chief Commercial Officer

Steven brings more than 25 years of experience helping lead and develop global multi-channel, multi-category luxury and mainstream brands.

Steven has been at the forefront of the retail evolution driving the enhanced customer experience through live commerce and social commerce internationally. While working with pioneers in tech and creative, he has helped build platforms that generate commercial shoppable content with greater customer engagement, and enhanced conversion and customer lifetime value for the brands and retailers to grow market share.

Denise Evans

Board Member

Denise has served globally for more than 40 years in numerous leadership and executive positions in IBM including Directors of Global e-business, Global Customer Loyalty, and Global e-Relationship Marketing.

Denise currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Women Presidents Organization, Enterprising Women Magazine, the Global Summit of Women,
the Galt Foundation, the National Alliance
for Mental Illness-Maryland, and the
S.O.L.V.E. Group.

Chen Jian

Head of Engineering

Jian graduated from KU Leuven in 2012 before joining Baidu, Zamplus, and Echo in engineering roles.

He ran large teams at Tencent specialising in specialist algorithm development projects.

At OOOOO, Jian is responsible for search, recommendation and deep learning algorithms across the platform. He is based in Shanghai.
