AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

Message: a shift in the wind

So, it would appear that, for the near term at least. Trump and Xi Jinping have reached some sort of detente and the tariff meter isn't going to jump up, at least for now.

This could bode well for a small Canadian company that has, of late, been pretending to be an American company, ( from the PoET website:  Canadian office - Toronto,   North American Operations Office - San Jose), has all American senior management and whose major client base seems to be in China.

Threatened trade wars, imposed tariffs, legal right to commerce restrictions imposed by the US Commerce Department that cite Nationa Security issues all put US based executives in the undesireable position of facing indictment by the Department of Justice for violation of trade restrictions.

Given the situation with ZTE and Fujian Jinhau, it would appear that US associated semiconductor companies have had to tread lightly when it comes to dealing with Chinese companies in the current climate.

Perhaps some of the NDA's that we have to deal are not only to protect the customer but are also to shield PoET's management who are determined to grow the company while, at the same time,  navigate these murky waters of the present US/China trade disputes.

IMO, of course
