I really can’t see why you don’t get it. Clearly the buyer wants to remain anonymous, for now, and therefore POET can’t go against that. Personally I take some comfort in the fact they’re being so secretive. To me that suggests they’re taking it very seriously and I wonder why that could be?

What If you’re the buyer and this deal has ramifications for your current contracts and relationships. Why in God’s name would they want to let everyone know before the deal is done. They risk agrivating their customers for no reason. Add to that, they want to maintain a competitive edge, given the potential of this technology.

Bottom line, Nothing is gained from telling the market before all negotiations are complete. Why put yourself in the spotlight during this process.
