A press release can be sent out at any time. There could not be news disseminated at the meeting that is not provided in a general release at the same time or earlier.  We see this on investor/analyst days.  Frequently companies release presentation materials in the morning before the event to clear the hurdle of "selective disclosure" when new information or guidance is provided.
