CM some of what JTB said makes sense to me. When your on a sinking ship and you keep taking on water you need to get off. I have over the years taken losses and tried to make them up over time. The Venture game is just that... a game. I hold a small postion (of my protfolio) in Venture of that I will move on news, that's what makes it worthwhile. I keep a long positon, but a stragey is and should be to move on news......anyone who has held for all those years in the hopes to make it up.....is not a viable strategy.
