This is the answer. We really don't know how long the market continues to treat POET the way it is. If you want an example, look at Amazon after dotcom. 10 years of nothing despite continual and noticeable improvement in that company's free cashflow, back when positive cashflow still mattered. The market can be THAT crazy, and you have to be prepared for it.
On the other hand, we live in a different time today compared to that decade. Today, people are open to companies with bright prospects, a positive NR travels at the speed of light, and people's attention can quickly turn to POET if the company does deliver the goods (hitting prod, closing the deals).
The bottom line: pad yourself some time so just so you're not crazy agitated if things don't go to plan. Plans rarely work perfectly.
