Dr. Kausik Ray has done an amazing job as lead investigator for BETonMACE, has been a big proponent of BET inhibition as potential therapy over the past few years, is one of the most well known and respected cardiologists in the world, and did his best in the context of a failed primary endpoint to point out the promising potential of apabetalone in an 8 minute presentation.

Growacet, it's fine to be frustrated, but it is not cool to take it out on Dr. Ray. One should be grateful for such a prominent and well respected key opinion leader like Dr. Ray to have run BETonMACE. It would not be good to fill this role with a puppet who echos the company sponsor. One wants scientific objectivity, fair & balanced criticism, and integrity in this role. That is what Dr. Ray has provided. And if Dr. Ray indicates that there is still promising potential for apabetalone that warrants further investigation, people listen.
