BDAZ - I don't completely agree with this assessment. First, it should be possible to complete a clinical trial of ABL in covid inside a few weeks. As DM said, there's no shortage of patients and two weeks' treatment should be sufficient. It didn't take very long to get positive results for dexamethasone or the initial results (albeit now contested by WHO) for remdesivir.

There are many unknowns about the vaccines, and even if they offer a magic bullet, it will take many months to get enough people in the world vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Some countries will also have difficulty affording them (how much does 2 weeks of ABL cost, by the way?). And many people will not agree be vaccinated (some estimates about 40%).
