Brian K. Briggs

Brian K. Briggs P.Eng., Chief Executive Office Mr. Briggs is a Registered Professional Mining Engineer and holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Engineering from the University of Wyoming. Mr. Briggs’ diverse and distinguished career encompasses over 23 years in engineering and mine management in North America, Africa and Asia, having begun his career as a mining engineer with Shell Mining Company followed by Kennecott Energy in the 90’s. In 1999 Mr. Briggs left Kennecott to work on various precious and base metals mining projects in the U.S., Ghana, Liberia, North Korea and Canada holding the positions of President and COO as well as a number of other senior management roles focused primarily on project evaluation, development, and construction where he advanced a number of green field exploration projects into producers in highly remote locations world-wide.

Doug Levesque, Vice President, Operations, Tyhee NWT Corp Prior to joiningTyhee NWT Corp in 2004, Mr. Levesque has 39 years of experience in production, development, safety and engineering. Prior to joining Tyhee he was General Foreman with Dynatec Corporation, Vice President of Operations for Claude Resources Inc., President of Centaur Mining Contractors (a Division of Claude Resources Inc.), and prior to that Mine Manager of Claude Resources' Seabee Mine, a 700-tonne-per-day remote underground gold mine.

Hugh R. Wilson, Vice President, Environment and Community Affairs, Tyhee NWT Corp Mr. Wilson is an Environmental Engineering Technologist with 35 years of international experience in environmental management for the mining industry and government, with 27 years working in northern Canada. This includes providing environmental expertise to Echo Bay Mines, Inmet Mining, TVX Gold, Placer Dome and Miramar Mining Corp., where he managed the environmental, waste management and permitting functions related to projects such as the Lupin Gold Mine, the Izok Project, overseeing Miramar’s Con Mine and Giant Mine in Yellowknife and more recently, the Doris North Project. Mr. Wilson participated on the Nunavut Planning Commission’s transition team and provided input into the Commission’s plans for developing the West Kitikmeot Land Use Plan. Hugh also participated on the Northwest Territories Water Board Technical Advisory Committee prior to the MVLWB and is Vice President –NWT on the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines.

Val Pratico, B.Sc., P. Geol., Chief Geologist, Yellowknife Gold Project Mr. Pratico has more than 30 years of mineral exploration and production experience and was an exploration and production geologist for the Yellowknife Con Mine from 1981 to 1990. He has been Chief Geologist for Tyhee since 2004. Other recent positions include Chief Geologist for Leader Mining International's Nevada gold project, Chief Geologist for Birch Mountain Resources Ltd. and various executive positions with the Calgary Mineral Exploration Group Society. Mr. Pratico is a graduate of the University of British Columbia and the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
