Tonight's SpaceX Falcon 9 is scheduled to take off at 12:45AM ET from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
As usual, the company will attempt to land the vehicle back on Earth post-takeoff. But this time, this Falcon 9 will be returning to Landing Zone 1, SpaceX's ground-based landing site at the cape.
Here's hoping the Masterplan includes a little area near the town of Hearst, Ontario. :-)
Tesla has big, big plans for the next 4 years:
1. Complete its giant Gigafactory.
2. Bring the Model 3 into production and possibly a Model Y by 2017.
3. Increase the range of Tesla cars to 1,000 kilometers per charge in three years.
4. Make its cars fully autonomous by 2018.
5. Produce 500,000 cars per year by 2018.
6. Produce 1 million cars by 2020.
7. Double the number of Superchargers by 2018.
8. Turn Tesla into an energy company.
9. Elon Musk says the company will also begin the second phase of its Tesla's "Top secret masterplan,".
