As I said companies are free to select their own bankers, the bankers who are moving on are precluded from soliciting their present clients for one year after their employment in a new bank. This is strictly enforced. My wife has signed no NCC but would be adverse to having to defend herself in a lawsuit that could bankrupt us, even if it is hard to enforce.

You mention "entrapenurial spirit" as a reason the Rainmakers don't all wind up in one firm.....I can't think of anything more than "entrapenurial spirit" by signing on with one of the largest lawfirms in the world as a partner, 40th floor office overlooking Central Park, great secretary, fine condo, 3 times the money with the ability to make much more...... That's the American way......Why isn't done?????
