If what you suggest were so, it would not explain the higher volume at higher prices experienced during the day.  Besides, that volume my itself would hardly be of much help to any one family wiped out by a storm, assuming it was one seller (which it was not).

Now and then, this stock has what seem to be inexplicable spikes in volume.  A change in volume trend, on the other hand, may have meaning.  Gott'a watch for that.

By the way, yesterday's volume was large only compared to recent history.  It was actually unusually small compared to the number of shares outstanding,  meaning that this company has fewer traders than would be expected for an otherwise similar stock.
