AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Sincerely,

George et al

Message: Carlin-Type Deposits - a good article

For those intent on following the sciences of all of this, the placer origin for Carlin style gold seems to have been confirmed very recently by a stunning new discovery in Australia, which in turn is also associated with the extraordinarily deep mines in South Africa on a number of counts.  The difference, however, is that the conglomerate in Australia includes rounded nuggets at and very near the surface - Carlin gold being so fine grained as to be microscopic.  This discovery in Australia has been shown to be so unusual that there is no model yet for measuing the resouces, though it is thought by some to be atypically vast, and exceedingly rich.

...just some background on the origins of Carlin style gold, and with absolutely no intentions of comparing Hay Mountain to Pilbara, Western Australia.
