Yes, thank you for your research. I am going to speculate that whether something is happening or not, some people THINK something is happening. And I agree esp. in retrospect that the name change was not made in a vacuum or just on a whim. I will speculate that it was made by necessity in the middle of some process that could not be continued without taking care of this detail. I think you are saying the same thing in a better way than I am! I don't remember exactly how much the S/P went up in 2010 before the NAK news, or how fast it went up. I do seem to remember that, at first, it was incremental and gradual, before any actual news was released. But it does have a similarity to what happening now. Best of luck to all of us.
