So apparently Mr. Big's most slavish cheerleaders find it painful to hear him criticized. They equate wanting appropriate performance from our management with running down Liberty Star itself. I would say the opposite- that those critical of Brett Gross are among Liberty Star's most ardent advocates.- So to assuage their sensibilities- rather than criticize, here is a constructive suggestion. I know it would be a bitter pill for a very prideful Brett Gross to swallow, since he considers himself Mr. Businessman extraordinaire- believing that his main purpose for being is to supplant the brilliant scientist/geologist but naive/bumbling businessman James Briscoe as the Whartonesque savior who would accomplish feats of business daring-do beyond JB's fondest dreams and secure that deal for drilling that was previously out of reach.       Except he hasn't.

Now- he has accepted consultations from various geologists- and, of course, everything that Liberty Star is- is based on the consultative work of James Briscoe. But that technical side isn't where we are lacking. Ironically enough- it is right in Brett Gross's purported bailiwick where we are most deficient. At this point- it is not more geology that is needed- it is more business expertise that is needed (although having a more geologically knowledgable and communicative spokesman at the helm wouldn't hurt).

So this is what I propose- rather than sign on another useless retread geologist- instead sign on a competent business consultant. We've already benefitted from the expertise of the great geologists at SRK and from JB himself. We've then run through a whole gaggle of second tier geologists shrewdly hired by BG for whatever reason, to use up any spare funds we could so easily afford. Now, instead, let's benefit from the expertise of a competent businessman.

This might be money well spent. Not just to lay out a path forward- because then we would still have to depend on Gross to actually carry out the plan- at our peril. But, rather,  someone to actually go out with the assigment of attracting a partner and concluding a deal. Kind of like what a CEO should be doing.

So if we can't get a new CEO/President- then we should at least hire a real and competent bussinessman tasked with the assignment of getting us the deal that we need. Where are the funds to do this? Maybe BG could foot the bill. It's what he's supposed to be doing anyway. We seem to come up with money for pointless retread studies/questionable land acquisitions and lawsuits. Let's instead spend it on getting someone to do what Brett Gross thus far hasn't been able to accomplish.
