More I think about this situation- stupider it seems. Presumably- or possibly- we had  $2 million in hand- or at least access to $2 million. Or so we were told. At least enough to forge ahead. So- finally- moving ahead at Hay Mountain.  Finally- the needed funds.- But no! Suddenly a new plan afoot.

At Hay Mountain we had targets defined and ready to go. All the preliminaries- environmental/archeology studies- and more importantly- all the geophysics and other exploratory tests had been done- targets precisely defined- and a large- huge- and (importantly) contiguous ore body anticipated- with good reason- see geochemistry/geology and geophysics- namely ZTEM. All that was needed were the funds to start drilling- and a knowledgeable enough geologist on hand to see that the geophysics was followed and that the drilling went deep enough. It would realize the belief we had that brought us to Liberty Star in the first place- the immense copper deposit at Hay Mountain.

But- not to be. Instead of directly using the money for drilling at Hay Mountain- the plan was to first make a detour and spend the money getting ready to drill in another location- RRC-for gold- make another $2 million and then finally use that money to drill at Hay Mountain. The only catch is that- apparently they used up all the money getting ready to drill at RRC and had nothing left to actually start drilling there- and thus- nothing left to drill at Hay Mountain- or anyplace else. Not to mention- that even with the increased POG- there still needs to be an economically recoverable ore body to exploit- unless you just want to spend time panning for gold like on the Discovery Channel for patchy little specks of gold. So- even if drilling did commence at RRC- and even if some recoverable gold was defined- how long would it take to actually set up a mining process- think-new permits- way different than exploratory drilling permits- let alone putting together a mining infrastructure- and at what cost- all of which would require many millions more- and that elusive JV partner- long before even a dime is realized- probably decades from now- if ever.

Wouldn't it have been a little simpler just to start drilling at Hay Mountain?

So what was the impediment? What was the sense of this? Am I missing something? Is it that they never had the money in the first place? Is it that BG just couldn't bear to go ahead with something started by James Briscoe? (disturbing but likely). Or something else?

I just don't know. Stupider and stupider.
