Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

To take the other side of the coin for once. Perhaps management is afraid of pissing off MOT or HOM or whatever acronym you choose and causing further delays so they stay quiet. Also very possible that they have no info to offer. The fact that we were led to believe, managment as well, that we are down to decorating and now have this unexplained delays could mean several differnet things but to me only options are:

1. Omani's dont care. In the scheme of things this project is a grain of sand and whenever they feel like it they will give the green light.... or not

2. they are delaying for political reasons

3. pressure from other projects causing delays

4. perhaps they stall long enough we go away and they go it alone (why they would do this I dont know but several plausible explanations)

BOTTOM LINE. My statement is total GUESS based on my own crazy brain telling me that something just isnt right in Denmark
