Ross J. Beaty - Chairman

Mr. Beaty is a geologist and resource company entrepreneur with more than 37 years of experience in the international minerals industry. He founded and currently serves as Chairman of Pan American Silver Corp. and has also founded and divested a number of other public mineral resource companies since 1985, including Northern Peru Copper and Global Copper Corp. Mr. Beaty has raised over $1 billion in capital and created shareholder wealth of over $4 billion since 1994.
Mr. Beaty is a past President of the Silver Insititute in Washington, DC., a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining, and a recipient of the Institute's Past President Memorial Medal. In 2007, he received the Association of Mineral Exploration of B.C.'s Colin Spence Award for excellence in global mineral exploration and in 2008 the Mining Person of the Year award from the Mining Association of B.C.
Mr. Beaty was born in Vancouver, Canada and educated at the Royal School of Mines, University of London, England, M.Sc., Distinction (Mineral Exploration) 1975 and the University of British Columbia, LL.B. (Law) 1979 and B.Sc. (Honours Geology) 1974. He speaks French and Spanish, as well as some Russian, German and Italian. Mr. Beaty has worked in more than 50 countries during his career.

Geoffrey A. Burns - Director and President & CEO

Mr. Burns has over 25 years of experience in the precious metals mining industry. He joined Pan American in 2003 after serving as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Coeur d'Alene
Mines Corp. Mr. Burns holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Masters of Business Administration. A great deal of Mr. Burns' professional activities has concentrated on financial management and he has led numerous capital market transactions, including equity, debt and convertible debt placements. In addition, he has extensive experience through North and South America in mine operations, project development , human resources, and long term strategic planning. He has participated in numerous mine construction projects from feasibility study, through start-up and into continuous operation. Mr. Burns has been Chief Executive Officer of the Company since May 2004.

William A. Fleckenstein - Director

Mr. Fleckenstein is president of Fleckenstein Capital, a money management firm based in Seattle. He writes a daily Market Rap column for his Web site Fleckensteincapital.com and a popular column for MSN Money. Mr. Fleckenstein holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Washington.

Michael Larson - Director

Michael Larson is the chief investment advisor to Cascade Investment, L.L.C. and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Trust. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for two Western Asset/Claymore investment funds. Mr. Larson is a trustee and is the co-head of the Investment Committee at Claremont McKenna College. He is also a trustee and leads the Investment Committee at Lakeside School in Seattle and he serves on the Investment Committees for the University of Washington and the UNCF Gates Millennium Scholars fund. Mr. Larson earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Claremont Men's College.

Michael J.J. Maloney - Director

Mr. Maloney is a private investor. He actively participates in several private investments. He holds a B.Sc. from the University of California, Berkeley (1958) and a B.Sc. from J.D. Hastings College, University of California at San Francisco (1961).

Robert Pirooz - Director and General Counsel

Mr. Pirooz first joined Pan American Silver Corp. in 1998 and is currently General Counsel. His extensive legal and business experience includes the role of Vice-President and General Counsel for the BCR Group of Companies. Mr. Pirooz was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1990 after obtaining a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of British Columbia and studying commerce at Dalhousie.

David Press - Director

Mr. Press is a mining engineer with almost 40 years of diversified experience in the mining industry. He has worked in underground and open pit mines across Canada as well as in the United States and Australia. While with Homestake Mining Company he held the position of Director, Mine Engineering and Development. In that capacity he provided technical support to all Homestake operations as well as leading the evaluation and investigation efforts for potential acquisitions on a world-wide basis. Mr. Press graduated from Nottingham University with an honours degree in mining engineering in 1967.

Paul B. Sweeney - Director

Current Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development, of Plutonic Power Corporation. Former Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Canico Resource Corp. (a mining company) since February 2002. Former Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Manhattan Minerals Inc. (a mining company) since December 1999; Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Sutton Resources Inc. (a mining company) from May 1998 to March 1999; Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Princeton Mining Corp. from February 1997 to April 1998; and prior thereto Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gibraltar Mines Ltd.

Nadine Block - Vice-president, Human Resources

Ms. Block joined Pan American Silver Corp. in September of 2008. Her extensive experience in human resource and business management includes the role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Human Resources for Finning International Inc., as well as senior human resource roles with TimberWest Forest Corp., Fletcher Challenge Canada Limited and Falconbridge Limited. Ms. Block has a strong background in the areas of strategic planning, talent management, leadership development, and compensation and benefits. Ms. Block holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University.

Bret Boster - Country Manager, Argentina

Mr. Boster is a Mineral Processing Engineer from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology. He has over twenty years’ experience in the mining industry and has managed mines in Central and South America (Honduras and Chile) as well as in the US. He has a wealth of expertise in large plant start up, production supervision, process flow sheet development and precious metals plant management.

Steven Busby - Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Busby is a Mineral Processing Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the precious metals mining business. He has participated in successful Mine Development and Mine Construction projects in Mexico, the United States, South Africa, Russia and throughout South America. Steve joined Pan American Silver Corp in 2003 and has provided project development and mine construction leadership that has lead to a doubling of the Company’s annual silver production to over 17 million silver ounces in 2007. In addition, new mine construction projects in Argentina and Bolivia under Mr. Busby’s stewardship are expected to expand Pan American’s silver production by another 50% to 25 million silver ounces in 2009. Prior to joining Pan American Silver Corp in 2003, Steve held positions in a privately owned consulting firm, Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp, Amax Gold Inc, Meridian/FMC Gold Company, and Nerco Minerals Company. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Processing Engineering and is a member of the Montana Tech Metallurgical Engineering Department Advisory Board

Bob Byrd - Country Manager, Bolivia

Mr. Byrd is the President and General Manager of Pan American Silver (Bolivia). He holds a BSc in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and a ME from Boston University. He has over 25 years experience in the industry, having worked previously with Breakwater Resources Ltd. and ASARCO, principally in Latin American Operations.

Ignacio Couturier - Treasury Manager

Mr. Couturier joined Pan American in August 2002. He brings experience in all aspects of financial analysis and in business and project valuation. Ignacio has worked previously for Minera Antamina and Rio Algom Ltd. Ignacio is a dual Peruvian / Canadian citizen who is fluent in Spanish and English and has a working knowledge of French and Italian. Mr. Couturier holds a BSc. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from McGill University.

Kettina Cordero - Coordinator, Investor Relations

Ms. Cordero joined Pan American Silver in May 2006. She holds a Diploma of Commerce and Production from the Humboldt Institute of Technology, Lima - Peru. She is fluent in Spanish, English and German.

Andres Dasso - Senior VP, Mining Operations

Mr. Dasso joined Pan American Peru in 1995 and currently oversees all operations. He brings 27 years of experience to the Company, including 8 years with Amax in Honduras, 9 years with SIMSA, and extensive experience as an operator at base metal mines in Bolivia. Mr. Dasso obtained his B.Sc. Mining Engineering at the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1977. He is currently a Board member of SIMSA, as well as a Director of the Peruvian Mining and Petroleum Society SNMP.

Robert G. Doyle - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Doyle joined Pan American as Chief Financial Officer in January 2004. He brings to the role a strong background in financial management, particularly in the metals market, after 6 years as Senior Vice-President -- Mining Finance and Metals Marketing with Standard Bank in New York. Mr. Doyle also has extensive accounting and audit experience in New York, London and South Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst with a B.Bus.Sc (Honours) Finance degree from the University of Cape Town.

George Greer - Director, Projects

Mr. Greer has worked as a mining engineer since 1981. George’s experience includes work with Inco Limited (Thompson, Voisey’s Bay, and Sudbury), Lac Minerals (Chile), and Barrick Gold (Chile). His background includes mine engineering and operations, including both surface and underground projects. George has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Laurentian University in Sudbury and received his Project Management Professional designation in 2004. He joined Pan American Silver Corp in March 2007, and has been leading the mine expansion and mill construction project at Pan American San Vicente Project in Bolivia, as well as assisting in other project work with Pan American Silver. George’s experience and project team’s efforts will be instrumental in completing the construction project at San Vicente by the end of 2008 such that the production ramp-up from this high-grade silver mine will commence in early 2009.

Sean McAleer - Country Manager, Mexico

Mr. McAleer first joined Pan American Silver Corp. in 2006. He previously held the positions of General Manager for the Alamo Dorado mine and Vice President of Administration for Mexico.Mr. McAleer has extensive experience in Latin America and speaks fluent Spanish. Before joining Pan American Silver Cop., he spent over fifteen years working with the mining, consulting, and consumer products industries in various management roles. Mr. McAleer completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and holds Master's degrees in Business Administration from the University of Chile in Santiago and Tulane University.

Hik Park - Director, Internal Audit

Mr. Park joined Pan American as Director, Internal Audit in August 2007. He brings experience in consulting and audit work, after 10 years in Big-4 firms (Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young Peru, Ernst & Young Canada), in assignments in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela. He is a Certified Internal Auditor, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering (Peru), and an MBA from Universidad de Piura (Peru) / Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa de la Universidad de Navarra (Spain) (Lima), and a Master in Education. He speaks Spanish, Korean, and English.

Joe Phillips - Senior VP, Project Development

Mr. Phillips is a senior mining executive with experience directing mining and manufacturing operations around the world since 1973, from North and South America to Africa and Asia. He is fluent in English and Spanish and brings extensive experience in a variety of cultural environments to his responsibilities overseeing Pan American’s project development. Mr. Phillips obtained his BSc in Geological Engineering in 1973 from the Colorado School of Mines where he was named the Outstanding Graduate in Engineering Geology. Complementing his expertise are his graduate studies in Business Management at the University of South Florida.

Enrique Ramirez - Country Manager, Peru

Mr. Ramirez joined Pan American Silver Peru in 2004 as Assistant General Manager in charge of all Peruvian operations. He graduated as Mining Engineer from the Montana College of Minerals in 1983 and brings to the Company over 25 years of experience in underground mining operations. He is a past director of the Peruvian Mining Engineers Association and a past president of the Safety Committee of the National Peruvian Mining and Petroleum Association.


Gonzalo Rios - Director, Environmental Affairs

Mr. Rios brings 14 years of mining environmental experience to Pan American Silver. He has worked at operations and projects in several countries in South and Central America and his core skills lie in mine closure, permitting and water quality. He was involved in several successful mining operations in Chile, such as, Escondida, El Abra and Cerro Bayo, and before coming to PAS lead the AMEC Environmental division in Chile where he was part of several projects in Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Panama and Chile. Mr. Rios obtained his BSc in Chemistry from the University of Toronto in 1992, a Post Graduate Diploma on Environmental Management from the University of Santiago, Chile in 1995, a Post Graduate Diploma on Environmental Engineering, University of Concepcion, Chile in 1999 and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Chile in 2006. He is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.

Michael Steinmann - Executive VP, Geology & Exploration

Mr. Steinmann joined Pan American Silver in 2004 after more than 10 years working and residing in several South American countries such as Ecuador, Chile and Peru. His last assignement before joining Pan American was with Glencore in Perú, where he worked six years as Manager, Geology South America. He has extensive experience managing the geological function of a wide range of base and precious metal mines and green and brownfield exploration projects. He has evaluated mines and projects throughout South and Central America, Europe and Asia. Mr. Steinmann holds a Ph.D in Geology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Zurich.
Mr. Steinmann is responsible for production geology, resource and reserve estimations as well as for the greenfield and brownfield exploration programs of Pan American Silver. He is also involved in the Company’s business development activities.

Rick Urenda - Director, Safety and Training

Mr. Urenda joined Pan American in January, 2006 with 32 years of mining experience, 11 of them in the Safety and Training profession. He has worked at operations around the world and specializes in the research, development and implementation of safety policies and work procedures. Mr. Urenda has his MSHA and EMT certifications and is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist. He is also fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.

Wayne Vincent - VP, Accounting & Financial Reporting

Mr. Vincent joined Pan American as Controller in April, 2004. He has over 19 years of experience in the mining industry and has extensive experience in SEC, internal audit, financial reporting and accounting systems. Mr. Vincent was formerly the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation for 7 years. Mr. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Idaho and is currently a licensed CPA.

Martin Wafforn - VP Technical Services

Mr. Wafforn joined Pan American early in 2004, bringing 24 years of mining engineering experience to the Company. He has worked a range of positions in underground mines in South Africa, the UK and across Canada, supervising all facets of mine engineering, operations, construction and development. Mr. Wafforn spent the last 15 years with Homestake and then Barrick Gold after its takeover of Homestake. As Manager of Mine Engineering for Barrick's global operations, Mr. Wafforn provided engineering expertise to mines and projects around the world. He holds a B.Sc Mining Honours from the Camborne School of Mines in England.
