Here is the biggest thing 1sailsman, IMO. The first offer will be premature, in the sense that we hardly PROVED anything. Now when a company starts doing infill drilling to prove up a resource, thats when the shareprice languishes. Hopefully in our case, the company just keeps punching the recommended 50 some holes by quantec. These holes are all over the property and would be considered wildcat holes in a sense. The minute that we would have to start infill, would have some effect on the sp, BUT, if we kept on the 50 or so wildcat holes, there is always something new coming out and expanding the possibilities. Also by drilling the wildcats, there is more chance for an offer to come in that time.

To each, their own on their prudence. The way I think, and in this stock only, if you are gonna sell half of your position at a double, what are you gonna do with the half you sell?

Say you have 200,000 shares, the stock goes to $5. You sell half for $500,000, and invest it in to something with a dividend of 10% per year or just spend it. If you would have waited a bit longer while the bids were still coming and drilling was ongoing on new targets, a shareprice of $50 per share would have turned your $500,000 that you were being prudent with into an extra 4.5 million. The other thing is too, that if the stock is halted on another bid while you are out, you are gonna miss that gain, so if you decide to get back in at lets say$20, you just missed out on 1.5 million.

Also, there could be spin off,s, that could earn you more value over time on a pro rata basis to existing SLI shares. And don,t forget, we have 2-3 more possible world class properties that will undoubtedly come in to the picture once the Tesoro is gone.

Its because of this hypothesis, that I will most likely stay to the bitter end.
