Mr. Larson brings over 20 years of combined corporate finance, technology development and entrepreneurial experience to the Board. Currently CEO of Kater, a Vancouver-based mobility as a service (MaaS) company building out an integrated intermodal transportation platform incorporating public transportation, buses, taxis and ride haling vehicles into a single service. Previously, Mr. Larson has been CEO and co-founder of Helios Wire, a satellite company building out a space-enabled IoT/M2M network, and was CEO and co-founder of UrtheCast. Mr. Larson helped scale the company from its inception, taking it public on the Toronto Stock Exchange, raising $200 million, and leading the company to 250 employees over five years with seven offices around the world.

Prior to joining Draganfly, John was the VP of Sales for the Public Safety & Commercial UAS groups for FLIR Systems. John came to FLIR via the Aeryon Labs acquisition, where he ran the Public Safety and Commercial Drone business lines as well. Before joining Aeryon, John served the biometrics technology field, most recently as the Director of Sales for Crossmatch Technologies, providing biometric solutions and identity management tools to military and law enforcement agencies worldwide.

Jaymin is Draganfly’s lead software developer and is responsible for the design and implementation of algorithms and models pertaining to the development and testing of our research projects. His responsibilities also include the development and maintenance of autopilot and sensor management software. He graduated with a B.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009.

Paul has provided financial solutions to small startups and billion-dollar companies alike, and has been involved in many transactions across the entire capital structure. He holds a BA of Applied Science and Engineering from The University of Toronto and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.

Lana is responsible for managing staff and overseeing the daily operations of the business. Like everyone at Draganfly, she wears many hats, managing: all HR, bookkeeping, and administrative responsibilities; benefits and insurance; patents and trademarks; business relationships with vendors, shipping and brokerage companies, lawyers, insurance agencies, and government departments; company policies and staff training; and calculations and written documentation for Draganfly’s SR&ED claims and IRAP projects.

Tim Lee is an electronics engineer and firmware designer who initially began working with Draganfly in 2006 as a contractor. Tim became a permanent employee in 2015 and was named VP of Engineering in 2017, where he became responsible for organizing and leading the R&D department in developing innovative products and applications. Tim has worked on many aspects of Draganfly, including electronic, PCB, and mechanical designs.

Cory has 27 years of experience as a UAV operator, 17 years of experience as a UAV instructor, and is a Transport Canada approved UAV instructor. Cory aided with early development of training and operating safety standards that are in practice by Transport Canada and other nationally recognized training centers. At Draganfly, Cory is accountable for assembly, manufacturing, and maintenance and repairs. Additionally, he contributes to R&D to advance product development and provide support for existing products.

Manufacturing Technician, Draganfly Innovations Inc.

Prior to starting at Draganfly in February 2009, Tyson worked for a local hobby shop where he developed his interest in radio-controlled vehicles and the UAV flight skills that would become important for his role as a Draganfly manufacturing technician. Tyson is part of the team responsible for assembling and test-flying our Draganflyer systems, which involves retaining a lot of knowledge on the operation and construction of current systems. He also provides troubleshooting and support for existing clients and if systems are returned for service, Tyson is part of the team responsible for diagnosis, repair, and re-testing. Tyson is currently working on completing his Computer Systems Technology Diploma at Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant, Draganfly Innovations Inc.

Ola joined the Draganfly team in early 2020 and quickly became an integral part of the financial team. She obtained her accounting diploma from Fanshawe College in London, ON, in 2012. Ola provides the majority of Draganfly’s bookkeeping services, takes care of most of the company’s purchasing and receiving, and provides assistance in other areas of the business, including general administration and HR. Since joining the team, Ola has developed an electronic filing system that organizes and streamlines the company’s record-keeping system. When she’s not at Draganfly, Ola enjoys family time, baking, and the outdoors.

Manufacturing Technician, Draganfly Innovations Inc.

Dirk has been working as a manufacturing technician at Draganfly since 2006 and is part of the team responsible for assembly and support on our Draganflyer systems. He has an in-depth knowledge on all of the shop machinery and is typically the go-to DIY expert around the building. Dirk assists the R&D team with component manufacturing. Dirk also assists with repair service work for both internal and client systems and is involved with testing new and existing systems. When he’s not at Draganfly, Dirk enjoys combat robotics, repairing and restoring old cars, and is part of the local off-road RC club.

Greg wood

Greg Wood

Electronics Design Engineer, Draganfly Innovations Inc.

Greg is Draganfly’s lead design engineer and is responsible for the initial and ongoing development of the Draganflyer aircraft, including the electronic, software, and mechanical aspects. He’s heavily involved in the conceptual design phase for unique and efficient vehicle configurations. He performs CAD/CAM design and both manual and CNC machining tasks. Greg supports the manufacturing staff with design and construction of manufacturing processes and fixtures, as well as advanced troubleshooting. He’s an electrical engineer and a long-time hobbyist with a passion for designing and building robotics. Greg received his B.Eng from the University of Saskatchewan in 2004, and previously worked as a communications engineer for the local electric utility. Greg worked as a contractor for Draganfly for a number of years before becoming a full-time Draganfly employee in October, 2006. Greg has also designed many combat robots and competed in many tournaments.
