If wells can be drilled for that price in Australia, that would certainly be a good thing.
"In Canada, the Bakken occurs at a much shallower depth -- 2,200 to 7,000 feet deep compared to 7,500 to 10,000 feet in the US."
3000 feet in Australia.
One thing they do have in the Beetaloo that I'm not sure about in the Bakken is a layer of volcanic rock that they have to drill through first. That would certainly add to the costs.
