What are we waiting for?

When I originally bought this stock well over 2 years ago, it was just a very speculative buy, and I was only hoping Kodiak would find something...anything. At that time the hope was was nickel and nowhere near Ontario.

But then Hercules happened and the stock price exploded (relatively, at least). I held on to what I had, mainly because I had no 'end game'. There was lots of talk back then about $50 or $100 share prices, and I saw no reason to sell. Still not a big idea of when that sell button should be hit though.

Recently, with Kodiak's new focus on developing what they have into a mineable resource, the talk has shifted to part or all of KXL being bought by a major mining company (at least one exception to this is Coach, who I think has been saying this was a possibility right from the beginning), so the focus moves again for me as well (I'm no lemming, but I do think there are some on this board that are worth listening to).

So, if I'm getting it right, that is the next giant move we are waiting for, i.e. the move that boosts the stock price up, makes some of us rich, and produces one heck of an overdue party in Vegas!

I'm wondering what the board thinks about the timeline for this. I think I read a few days ago that Brian told one of you that the working capital they have will be down to about 20 million after the end of 2009 (correct me if I got that wrong). I assume that means they'd have enough to get through 2010 without looking for more cash.

Is it a fair assumption that the company is looking at 2009 as the year they would like get a deal done with a major, of course depending on what they can prove up in the meantime? Do any of you have a more informed opinion? I'd love to hear it.
