Bill Bulmer is Associate Director in IFC’s Oil, Gas, Mining and Chemicals Department where he is head of the Mining Division. IFC is a very active investor in mining and has a diverse global portfolio including precious and base metals, minerals and coal. Bill has over 20 years’ finance experience in emerging markets and, during his time with IFC, has worked in several investment departments handling a variety of project, corporate and equity financings. This includes several years as a manager in IFC’s Infrastructure Department, helping the Corporation build its expertise and capability for infrastructure finance. Bill is now leading a growth strategy for IFC’s mining investments that focuses on the value addition that IFC can provide to its clients in a range of areas but particularly in relation to sustainable development impacts benefiting local communities. Prior to joining the Mining Division he was Associate Director in the Environment and Social Development Department where he was a key member of the leadership team responsible for the IFC Social and Environmental Performance Standards. Bill was educated in the UK with a BSc(hons) from the University of Reading and an MBA from Cranfield University.

Ms. Dechev has extensive experience in the capital markets through positions held at well recognized investment banks in institutional equity research, corporate finance and merger and acquisitions primarily focused on the resource sector. Prior to joining Mundoro, Ms. Dechev was Vice President in Corporate Finance at French-Canadian investment bank, Desjardins Securities, covering small to mid capitalization resource companies for corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions mandates. Throughout her investment banking career, Ms. Dechev has worked for top tier investment banks, CIBC World Markets and National Bank Financial and has directly participated in financings for over half a billion dollars to primarily small to mid capitalization companies as well as being part of the M&A team that advised Franco-Nevada on their Normandy Mining investment. Prior to that, Ms. Dechev was an Institutional Equity Research Analyst focused on covering junior resource companies (many of which are now successful mid-tier producers) at a boutique investment bank, Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon, and spent a few years at a mineral resources company managing their commodity and derivatives trading program for gold, copper and silver. Ms. Dechev has an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering in Geological & Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.

Bryan Land is Senior Oil, Gas and Mining Specialist and joined the World Bank's Oil, Gas and Mining Policy Unit. A graduate of the London School of Economics, he also holds masters degrees in natural resources law and international affairs. Mr. Land has built his career dealing with public policy and investment issues in the resource industries, serving both public and private sector clients. In his current role he works with governments on oil, gas and mining sector reforms aimed at providing a sustainable basis for investment growth and economic and social development. He is on the team currently evaluating the potential for mineral sector growth in Yemen. Before joining the Bank last year, Mr. Land headed the natural resources advisory team at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London. This was preceded by spells with IHS Energy, CRU International and the Government of Papua New Guinea.

Rob joined Regester Larkin in January 2008, bringing two key areas of expertise: Oil & Gas, and the Middle East. Previously he was Middle East Energy Adviser to the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, working with many departments of the UK government and its network of Embassies to engage the Middle East region on issues of energy security and climate change. His regular direct engagement with the energy ministries and National Oil Companies of the Gulf and North Africa, and his first-hand experience of Ministerial discussions between producer and consumer governments has given him unique insights into one of the greatest challenges facing companies (both local and international) in the region; how to succeed in today’s energy system whilst also preparing for tomorrow’s. Prior to working for the UK government, Rob had a diverse 10 year career with Shell, working in natural gas marketing, corporate strategy, and finally upstream new business development in the Middle East, based in Dubai. Reputation management was central to his work with Shell, whether he was promoting the brand to gas customers, advising the Board on sustainable development strategy or helping to position the company as the partner of choice for Middle East governments. Rob has had the benefit of both a private and a public sector perspective on several key challenges facing business in the region and now leads Regester Larkin’s service to clients across the Middle East.

Following his work in Australia, Kevin moved to London where he was Head of Natural Resources for Williams de Broë and has since joined Thomas Weisel Partners for the past two years as Managing Director Investment Banking.
