Blast furnace/basic oxygen furnace steelmaking uses pellets as its feedstock. So it's not just relevant but essential part of green steel making. In general, when we talk greenhouse gas emissions in different industries, there are three categories of emissions:

Scope 1 emissions are direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources that are owned or controlled by a company, such as fuel combustion or leaks from refrigerants.
Scope 2 emissions are indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, heat, or steam consumed by a company. Scope 3 emissions are all other indirect emissions that occur in a company's value chain, such as emissions from the production of purchased goods or services.

Green steel refers to steel produced using renewable energy sources and reducing carbon emissions. Green pellets are the type of iron ore pellets that Pyrogenesis is encaged in with by replacing fossil fuel burners with their patented plasma torches.

Some of the new green steel making methods like MOE can skip pelletisation phase alltogether so this new method, - if implemented, using existing BF/BOF infrastructure to make green steel is actually very good news as it will support the need for green pellets for decades to come, don't you think?
