As a frame of reference, we also have to look to what happens when markets turn. Looking back to around when the Super Cycle in commodities began, we can see that the price of copper rose around 370 percent in 3-4 years. It then kept rising until the Financial Crisis began, but then went on to even higher highs afterwards (500 percent in 8-9 years). During the same 3-4 years period starting about 2003, Freeport rose about 580 percent

Now, in fact, the long-term trend line and pending shortages suggest that another such 8-10-year bull market could happen again, and may even have already begun.

BTW, Kickedoffagain, appreciate your observations, and your picture. I have to confess, though, I was slighly put off until I looked more closely. LOL
