There could also be the possibility that in the extreme case there are no bidders. Then, things get tweaked some more and the bidding process recalibrates to another date.

There could be a wack of bidders, but they are weak on the criteria.

POET wins by default as being the only bidder or the one that meets the most criteria.

Realistic Possibilities:

POET wins as the most qualified (hints have been there since Ajit Manocha's presentation at the Deltronics Conference).

Someone else wins because of having more resources or brings other things on the table that POET does not have.

Conclusion:

I like POET Technologies chances overall if they have submitted a bid. Also Ajit Manocha has had this quiet contained enthusiasm for POET since the THM meeting. Despite delays, perhaps he really was aware about so much of POET's direction that we did not fully comprehend since we are not on the inside?
